With a majority Conservative Government now in place, the campaign is now underway by North Yorkshire Conservatives to get Philip Allott elected as the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner and also all our Conservative County Council Candidates elected. These elections takes place on Thursday May 6 2021.
Retaining a Conservative Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner is vital so that we can implement the policing investments and changes in the criminal justice system to put it on the side of victims. This includes more prison places, 250 more police officers in North Yorkshire (200 from Government funding and 50 extra from the Council tax precept), 20 more PCSOs, the provision of tasers for North Yorkshire Police Officers who want them and the integration of certain police and fire service functions such as HR allowing any savings to be reinvested into frontline services.
With targeted government investment into policing, prisons, tackling drugs gangs and new legislations we need your help to ensure these changes happen in North Yorkshire.
